I received my Ph.D. in 2020 in Developmental Education with a concentration in literacy and research taking a critical approach to inclusive postsecondary education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I also study active and engaging teaching techniques using tableau theatre. Additionally, I am active in the arts as a musician and theatre arts practitioner. I am particularly interested in the inclusion of people with disabilities in creative activities and am the research chair of AAIDD's Creative Arts special interest group. I have helped found two theatre arts groups in central Texas that provide opportunities for people with disabilities and am available for consulting and program evaluation.
