Principal Investigator for “Adolescent and Young Adult Affective Disorders: Data Analysis (1983‑1986) ‑ Data collected on 105 inpatients concerning phenomenology and course of past and present episodes of psychiatric disorders, family history of psychiatric illness, severity of psychosocial stressors and response of depressive symptoms to hospital treatment.  Coinvestigators: Richard C. Coinvestigator for “Premenstrual Syndrome and Psychiatric Disorders” (1984‑1986) ‑ Data were collected on 60 women self‑referred for presumptive premenstrual difficulties.  Data included retrospective accounts as well as prospective daily ratings of symptoms.  These data were used in support of an NIMH grant proposal (See below). 

Principal  Investigator:  Sally K. Severino, M.D.  Principal Investigator and Faculty Sponsor for “Premenstrual Depressive Changes in Patients with Major Depressive Disorder” (1985‑1986) ‑ Data were collected for 35 young adult, hospitalized women recording prospective changes in mood and behavior over one complete menstrual cycle.  This work was carried out as part of Mr. Joseph A. Malikian’s doctoral program.

Coinvestigator for “Role of Serotonin in Premenstrual Syndrome” (1991‑1992).  Basic Science Research Grant from Cornell University Medical College.  Used to collect preliminary data in support of NIMH proposal of same title.
