seneca.vaught

Professor Seneca Vaught's teaching and research specializations are applied historical studies of race, culture, and policy in the African Diaspora, community engagement, and immersive study abroad experiences.

He has published articles in Souls, Spectrum, Groundings, and Afro-Americans in New York Life and History. Vaught has won numerous awards for teaching, community engagement, and applied historical research.


He was awarded the John B. Muir Editor Award and the Williams Wells Brown Award for his accomplishments in these areas. In addition to numerous book chapters and multimedia projects, Vaught was formerly editor of Afro-Americans in New York Life and History.
