Jason Samaha

I am a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison working with Brad Postle. I study the cognitive neuroscience of attention, memory, and awareness for which I have received a NIMH fellowship.  In the past I have carried out this research with Drs. Anil Seth, and Ryan Scott and the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science, at the university of Sussex, Dr. Adam Gazzaley at the University of California, San Francisco, and Dr. Ezequiel Morsella, at San Francisco State University, where I earned my undergraduate degree.

Currently I am employing combined TMS-EEG to study the oscillatory dynamics of perceptual experiences, in addition to psychophysical work on the relationship between temporal attention and awareness and the possibility of unconscious working memory processes.  I am always trying to learn more about the intersection of philosophical and neuroscientific approaches to consciousness.
