Romain DAVID

Romain David is a research fellow working on interoperability improvement within life science data platforms. His main focus is on development, adoption, choice and implementation of ontologies and standards. His previous position concerned large-scale observation systems of terrestrial and marine ecosystems coupled to information systems for the dissemination of biodiversity/agronomical knowledge and the reuse of ecological data. He is also interested in the use of new methods of data mining and representation of data as graphs in order to propose scientific questions emerging from the data (and not the reverse, which is the classical scientific approach), and to make scenario proposals dependent on contextual variables that can be used in the area of decision support. As data sharing is essential for heterogeneous data mobilization, he is involved in initiatives and approaches fostering open science that address FAIRness literacy, Data Management Plan, FAIRisation training, at national and international levels (ECEI RDA group, co-chairing the SHARC (SHArinf Reward & Credit) interest group in Research Data Alliance, Indexmeed consortium, EPPN2020)
