I am a PhD student in English linguistics at the University of Münster. My research focuses on World Englishes, sociolingusitics & sociophonetics, acoustic phonetics, and language attitudes. My main research projects deal with (1) Standard English in secondary schools in the Caribbean island of Trinidad, (2) the role of World Englishes in English language teaching (in Germany), and (3) the applicability of (semi-)automatic acoustic phonetic techniques to New Englishes speech.
