Matthew has worked in allied health for over 25 years in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and the United States. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees at Unitec New Zealand. He completed his cranial osteopathy training at the world-renowned Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego under Dr. Viola Frymann, DO, and further post-graduate studies in the cranial, fascial, and respiratory treatment approach of Dr. Robert Fulford, DO, in Oregon. More recently, Matthew trained with Dr. Rue Tikker DPM in the osteopathic management and treatment of the foot and ankle, an approach developed by Dr. John Martin Hiss, DO MD, and Dr. AT Still MD DO.
Matthew has been active in teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing professional education levels for 20 years.
Matthew can utilise a wide range of manual therapy techniques in your treatment depending on your preference and the nature of your particular condition, from gentle cranial and functional approaches to myofascial release and manipulation. He works as an osteopath in private practice in Parnell, Auckland, New Zealand
Matthew enjoys distance running and competes in distances from the mile to ultramarathons. He is an Accredited Coach with Athletics NZ and enjoys working with people to recover, avoid injury, and reach their best performance in sports.
