Mark N Tompkins is a Staten Island NYC native, born on January 16, 1975. From a young age he was deeply drawn to acting and painting. However once he completed his high school education he went on to study Chemistry at The City College of New York. But after a semester spent there he decided that acting is his greatest passion and made a bold decision to quit school and focus his attention on acting.

Living alone in the Big Apple and struggling as an matte painter wasn’t that easy for Mark N Tompkins. In this period he was forced to work double shifts and all sorts of jobs in order to secure food and roof above his head. His lucky break came a few years later when he was spotted by a scout talent agent. Around this time he was mostly performing theatre plays and had a few off-Broadway shows.

Taken by his talent and versatility, Mark N Tompkins was soon offered to sign for a major Hollywood studio. His first on screen roles perhaps weren’t that noticeable but still they served him good, and opened new for the young actor. In 1999 he was casted in his first big movie, and was given one of the lead roles. This helped him launch his career to new levels, and it brought him greater recognition. In fact, that same year Mark N Tompkins had four awards nominations in the category for best lead actor.
