Mark C. Tompkins

Mark Tompkins Canaccord (born 28th January 1981 in Toronto, Ontario) is a famous Canadian-American engineer and entrepreneur, inventor and investor. Mark has made his fame while working with the University of New Haven, and made his fortune when he founded his own company BioSpace in 2002. He also co-founded some other minor startup companies which latter merged with Bayer Pharmaceuticals, but sold all of his shares in 2005 for $1.5 million. It is such a shame, cause this subsidiary was estimated at $44 million in 2015.

Currently serves the Board of Directors of the City of New Haven, and a Bioengineer in one of the companies founded by his cousins. Some of the famous financial magazines (such as Forbes) estimatedĀ his fortuneĀ at $120 million in 2015.
