Dr Liam Alex Heffron is a historian and actor, and chairperson of St Cormac’s (Heritage) Society — dedicated to the protection of local Irish historical records. He also provides content authenticity advice to creative and media productions (including film and TV), business marketing teams and community groups. His PhD research specialised in Irish revolutionary history, with special interest in the digital humanities, A.I. solutions for historical research and history-from-below studies.

As an experienced actor and award-winning historian, Liam Alex has worked with TV and Film productions to ensure fact-alignment and authentic context interpretation in truth-proofing scripts, character development and narrative storytelling, including BBC’s Who do you think you are?, RTE’s The Battle for Rural Ireland’and the award-winning independent film Top of the Rock inspired by New York's most iconic photograph 'Lunch atop a skyscraper’ taken by in 1932, of the Irish iron workers taking a meal break during their building of the Rockefeller Center.
