I hold a B.A. in history from the University of Florida and am a former secondary social studies teacher in Savannah, GA. I am currently in my third year as a PhD (Ed.) student in the Culture, Curriculum, and Change program at UNC-Chapel Hill. My research interests include digital humanities, digital equity and American Indian education. I have presented on these topics at the North Carolina Social Studies Conference, the College and University Faculty Assembly "Research into Practice"sessions, the National Council of the Social Studies, and the inaugural Collaborations: Humanities, Arts, and Technology conference.
