Kerim Çiçek is a full professor of Biology at Ege University (Izmir, Turkey) and teaches various courses about biodiversity, zoology, and ecology. He has authored or co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 63 of them indexed in the Web of Science. He has about 20 years of experience in evolutionary/ecology studies on Turkish herptiles. He is working on biogeography, ecological and mechanistic niche modeling, population dynamics, and conservation biology of Turkish biodiversity. He has extensive knowledge of ecological statistics in the R environment and other platforms, such as geometric morphometry, population/community dynamics, diversity, ecological/mechanistic niche modeling, and GIS tools.
