Julia Noordegraaf

I'm professor of Digital Heritage in the Media Studies department at the University of Amsterdam. I'm director of the Amsterdam Centre for Cultural Heritage and Identity, one of UvA's 20 research priority areas, where I lead the research project Creative Amsterdam: An E-Humanities Perspective (CREATE), which studies the history of cultural industries and creative cities with the help of historical data collections and computational research tools and methods. In addition, I act as Board member for Media Studies in the Common Lab Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities, CLARIAH, the Dutch national infrastructure for digital humanities research sponsored by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research, NWO. Finally, I participate as Principal Investigator and work package leader in the H2020 Marie Curie ITN New Approaches to the Conservation of Contemporary Art, NACCA.
