Matthew Taylor is IT Director of Northwestern University's Multimedia Learning Center. There he oversees the unit's technology portfolio and strategy, leads development and research projects and professional development activities for faculty, and heads day-to-day operations of the center. Drawing from both a multi-lingual and technical background, Matt works extensively on custom courseware development for language learning. Matt’s research interests include multilingual computing, accessibility of information, mobile technologies, digital preservation and archiving, and user interface design and database design, and the econometrics of happiness. Matt received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering with a specialization in VLSI Systems Design from Northwestern University in June of 2000.
