Dwain Wilder

I am Librarian for the Frack Free Genesee Library, a compendium of resources about hydraulic fracturing for the general reader and anti-fracking activists. I also serve as admin for the FacingFuture Library.

I am an editor, poet, anthologist and luthier. And have an ongoing history in grass-roots activism in matters regarding racial, gender and environmental justice, the climate emergency and war resistance. Done a little jail time for some of these. I also taught meditation classes at Attica Prison for seven years (before being arrested and jailed too many times!).

I earn a living building Appalachian dulcimers under the business name of Bear Meadow Folk Instruments (or just "Bear Meadow"), which are held internationally in high regard.

I have published "Under the Only Moon," a collection of my poems, and co-edited three anthologies, "Liberty's Vigil," "Vigil for the Marcellus," and "Civilization In Crisis," and poems in several journals, and am editor emeritus of the Rochester Zen Center's quarterly publication, "Zen Bow."

My wife and I, along with our dog, cat and a large rowdy macaw, live in a quaint cottage at the edge of a large dark forest.
