Dave Miller
I study behavior design, specifically how products, services, and systems can be designed to influence behavior. More specifically, my reserch centers on encouraging pro-social behavior, such as reducing energy use, promoting good health behaviors, and safety.
I am based in the Department of Communication, as part of the CHIMe Lab (Communication between Humans and Interactive Media), studying the psychological issues involved in autonomy (partially-self-driving cars). I also work with ChangeLabs, in the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, studying home energy efficiency. I am affiliated with the Stanford Behavior Design lab as well.
