Powell (she/hers; US citizen) is an environmental anthropologist based in Taiwan, where she is Associate Professor in the Graduate Institute of Medical Humanities at Taipei Medical University; she is also affiliate faculty in the College of Indigenous Studies at National DongHwa University. Powell directs the CoLab for Environmental Health Equity and Renewal (CEHER) and is PI for its "Energy Ecologies" transnational collaborative research project.
