A typical example would be the sole practitioner or small firm that needs in-depth research on an issue in the midst of a trial or at a time when there are other urgent matters requiring priority. (2) Creation of advertising for direct response sales and review of direct-response advertising to determine legality.

I sold all of my books by mail-order and, in the process, became friends with Joe Karbo and Gary Halbert, two of the greatest advertising writers who have ever lived. They, in turn, introduced me to many other of the top people in the field. As I continued with my own mail-order business while, at the same time practicing law, I soon found myself reviewing advertising for many of the top people to determine its legality.
