Bonnie Kaserman

I'm a geographer, trained at the University of North Carolina and the University of British Columbia.  My work is at the intersection of feminist geography, critical race studies, and Earth system science. (I did my PhD fieldwork at NASA headquarters.)

My published work is available in a variety of peer-reviewed journals, but I'm also on-line.  I'm a featured blogger for the Canadian higher ed. publication "Academic Matters," and I also publish in other online venues, usually about mentoring, equity, and pedagogy.

I'm also an artist.  For the past three years, I've been working on a project called Latitude Longitude, which, in part, consists of paintings based on Earth resource satellite imagery.  A couple of images were featured last year in a geographical journal, and I have more work from this series forthcoming in another journal.
