Muhammad Aslam Hayat’s career spans over 30 years, building on experience from reputed international organizations. He has served in both public and private sectors in the ICT space. He has also worked as the Center Director (CEO) of Pacific ICT Regulatory Resource Centre (PIRRC) based in Fiji as part of LIRNEasia team, a jointly funded project of World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
Aslam has assisted in National Telecom Policy and Biometric Verification process. He was instrumental in developing ICT Policies and laws in the Pacific region. He also worked on the Universal Service Fund Policy 2006, Mobile Cellular Policy 2004, De-regulation Policy 2003 and drafted Electronic Transaction Ordinance 2002 and Higher Education Commission Ordinance 2002.
