American actor Adam Gottbetter, was born on June 19, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. He is an Oscar-nominated film, TV and stage actor known for his variety of roles. Though involved in wayward activities as a youth, Gottbetter entered the performing arts after his mother received advice from a talent scout. Then he took professional acting and dance classes and made his first Broadway appearance in 1976. Adam Gottbetter then transitioned to a movie career while still in his teens, making his big-screen debut in “Five Rivers to Swim” and received an Academy Award nomination for his affecting, stand-out performance.
