Zotero 1.0.6 and Firefox 3 Now Available

We are excited to announce the release of Zotero 1.0.6. The 1.0.6 launch coincides with the launch of Firefox 3 and marks the first fully supported version of Zotero for Firefox 3.

Zotero 1.0.6 makes it easier than ever to integrate notes from your Zotero library into your writing work flow. You can now drag-and-drop notes into any text field on your system. In addition to this enhancement, the release comes with over a dozen new translators, including translators for the Boston Globe and the National Library of Australia, and enhancements to many existing translators. Zotero 1.0.6 also includes a number of bug fixes, addressing translator errors, report sorting, and word processor communication errors, among other issues. Finally, Zotero is now fully functional in Finnish, Slovak and Thai, bringing the total number of languages Zotero runs in to 34.

Our Most Stylish Release Yet: Zotero 1.0.2

We are excited to announce the release of Zotero 1.0.2.

One of the most exciting new features in 1.0.2 is improved support for installing custom citation styles, coupled with the creation of a style repository that includes some fifty new styles, or nearly six times the number of available styles in version 1.0.1. Special thanks to Julian Onions for his contribution of nearly all of these new styles. To add a style, visit the styles page and click Install next to the style you are interested in using.

Zotero 1.0.2 also includes several new site translators, including translators for social media sites Flickr and YouTube. Zotero’s default Open URL resolver has also been changed to the OCLC OpenURL Resolver Gateway, which will allow many Zotero users to automatically find items from their collections in their campus library through the Locate button without editing their preferences.

Zotero 1.0.2 requires new versions of the MS Word and OpenOffice integration plugins.

Zotero Gets Your Style

Our first new wave of bibliographic styles is now available. We now support IEEE, Nature and the National Library of Medicine’s bibliographic styles. It is now easier than ever to work with references in these formats. If you find any formatting issues with these styles please post your comments in this thread. If you are still waiting for Zotero to support your favorite style post your suggestion in this thread, or consider creating your own bibliographic style.
