How do I import files into Zotero?

Click on the gear icon and select “Import.” Browse to the location of your file and save it into Zotero. This option works for the following bibliographic file formats: Zotero RDF, MODS (Metadata Object Description Schema), BibTeX, RIS, Refer/BibIX, and Unqualified Dublin Core RDF. You can use Zotero's import and export capabilities to transfer your reference library from one machine to another or from one reference management system to another (you can also use a USB drive to synch your data between computers). For instructions on how to make the switch from Endnote to Zotero, for example, please see our documentation.
