Stijn Kelchtermans is an Associate Professor at the KU Leuven.

He holds a PhD in Business Economics (KULeuven, 2007), an MSc in Information Security (University of London, 2001) and a Master degree in Business Engineering (KULeuven, 1999).

In the past, Stijn worked as a technology risk consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working on several computer and network security projects. At the Faculty of Economics & Business, Stijn chairs the department of Management, Strategy & Innovation on the Brussels campus.

His research interests include the economics of science and education as well as innovation, mainly focusing on industry-science links. His work has been published in the Review of Economics and Statistics, The Journal of Technology Transfer, The Journal of Applied Econometrics, The Journal of Public Economics, Industrial & Corporate Change and CESIfo Economic Studies.

Stijn teaches graduate courses in innovation and technology management at the KU Leuven and Hasselt University.
