Responsibilities included manuscript reading, contest organization, marketing, coordinating readers, and editing final selections for publication and proofreading.

 Responsibilities included environmental, historical, anthropological and technical research; coordinating and assisting writers, photographers, editors and researchers; writing, special project reporting, proofreading and book development.

Responsibilities included grant writing; organization of local village associations and skill exchange workshops, including work with local garden groups to improve preservation and irrigation techniques; teaching of environmental education, including registering the local school with Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots program, linking them with other school children around the world as part of a global program to encourage care of the environment, animals and human communities; working to improve general nutrition and health, including working with Rotary International’s program to eradicate polio from Africa, as well as the production of a television video on the use of soy beans as a source of protein
