Selected Academic Experience

  • Professorof Computer Information Systems. Arizona Western College. (2006 - present). Teach hybrid, online, and face-to-face business, marketing, and information systems classes. Provide student support and guidance. Develop and review curriculum.
    • Co-chair of the institutional Assessment committee: Prepare for accreditation and improve internal processes by collecting institutional performance information, developing new institutional review methodologies, and encouraging faculty to participate in best practices.
    • AWC ATF CIS Representative: Represent AWC at statewide articulation meetings to insure that students will be able to transfer credits for equivalent courses.
    • Developed and coordinate the CIS internship program.
    • Member Technology Committee: Develop institutional policies and procedures, report back to division about changes in same.

  • Assistant Professor of Computer Information Systems. University of the Virgin Islands a HBCU, land grant institution. (1990-2001). Taught a wide variety of information system and businesss courses in traditional and online formats. Provided student support and guidance. Acted as a technical resource, tracked educational pricing, wrote grants, and specified purchases. Created and reviewed requests for proposals for systems and services. Assisted with development of UVI's web presence. Assisted with accreditation process. Created a searchable online document repository and employee phone book.
    • Director. Center for Excellence in Research and Instructional Technology (CERIT), University of the Virgin Islands. (1994-2001). Created budgets, analyzed needs and developed a variety of in-house training methods including workshops and a help desk. Acted as a liaison between faculty and Academic Computer Services. Provided support and administration for distant learning programs. Assisted with online testing by developing quality assurance programs and insured security of student responses and data.

  • CIO. Acorn Art Systems, Ponte Vedra, FL. (2002-Current). Developed and maintain Internet presence and ordering systems for Acorn Art Systems. Monitor sales trends and insure inventory levels.
  • Consulting Engineer. RE:SRC, Camden, NJ/Aukland, New Zealand. (2004-Current). RE:SRC is an international company devoted to developing innovative hardware for network security. Assist with product development, marketing, and distribution. Act as a liaison with engineers and administrators to develop materials used in a variety of presentations for Re:SRC.
  • CEO. All Over IT, Copenhagen, Denmark. (2000-2002). All Over IT was a software development company that I founded. All Over IT's focus was creation of internet based tools for  systems integration for USA based and international clients.
  • CEO. Automated Answers, United States Virgin Islands. (1985-1990). I founded Automated Answers as a consulting agency with a focus on analyzing needs then selecting, customizing, implementing, training, and maintaining appropriate systems for moderately sized businesses throughout the Caribbean. As CEO, I directed staff and worked closely with public, private sector, and international businesses to develop new systems and markets.
  • Director of Educational Development, CompuMark, New Orleans. (1985-1986). CompuMark was a national chain of computer stores based in the New Orleans area. Created and managed a profitable department focused on developing and implementing chain-wide educational programs. Responsibilities included departmental staff management, merchandise evaluation and recommendations, organizing and speaking at in-house and school seminars, helping schools and small business make software and hardware decisions, and work with developers to find solutions to unique problems.
