Experience

  • Director of the Center for Distance Education in Bible and Ministry at Harding University (2010-present). Associate Professor of Bible. Duties include teaching Bible classes online, scheduling online courses, developing new academic programs for off-campus students, hiring new adjunct faculty, recruiting students, and managing quality control of courses and programs.

  • Associate Director of the Institute for Church and Family at Harding University (2005-2010). Duties include developing the Distance Delivery of Bible Program for undergraduates, managing the Ministers Retirement Program, and consultant for the Arkansas Christian Herald.

  • Adjunct Professor at Harding University (2005-present).  Have taught Research and Resources (602, graduate research class), Life of Christ, Acts, Israelite Poetry, Old Testament Survey, Pentateuch, Israelite History, World Christian, Missionary Principles and Practices, and Seminar in European Missions.

  • Assistant Editor for the Truth for Today Commentary series (2003-present).  Duties include formatting and proofreading the commentary volumes, as well as writing. 

  • Freelance Writer (2004-present).  I have written for Restoration Quarterly, Stone-Campbell Journal, Gospel Advocate, Arkansas Christian Herald, and Truth for Today

  • Congregational work: Preacher and Bible class instructor (by appointment).

  • Fund Raiser for Truth for Today World Mission School (2004-05).

  • Visiting Professor of Missions at Harding University (2002-03).

  • Lámpás és Tarisznya (LÉT) Bible School director, teacher (1998-2003).

  • Lámpás és Tarisznya (LÉT ) Christian Foundation president (1997-2003; 2006-present). The LÉT foundation was designed to meet the educational needs of the developing Hungarian churches of Christ.  I, working with my teammates and our Hungarian brethren, developed this unique organization in 1997.  The LÉT’s primary supporter, Bob Pruett of Granville, Tennessee, was designated founder, and I was designated president, which also involved creating a board of directors.

  • Missionary to Northeast Hungary (Team leader,1995-2003).  During this period I took part in planting churches in Szolnok, Miskolc, and Debrecen.  Leadership training was one of my primary objectives.
