If the more semantic elements don't work as well in Word and other rich-text apps on Windows, perhaps we need two separate HTML modes.

With Zotero 2.1 delivering styled output, possibly this ticket can be closed?
While there is also discussion of the preferred tags used for particular effects in output, much has changed since the thread began, and if issues are identified in the current setup, perhaps the discussion should begin anew to avoid confusion.
