Description
- of Chicago has a pretty nifty new library catalog, but it looks like it may be a proprietary system. URL for MARC and MODS can be generated from the bib number:
http://libcat.uchicago.edu/mods?format=marctag&bib=5128764 (served incorrectly as XML)
http://libcat.uchicago.edu/mods?bib=5128764

Harvard and U of C are both providing COinS in their versions of the catalog, but others aren't. If getting MARC or MODS is relatively easy this is probably worth doing.
I found that on the Washington system marc can be called in the inner frame by using skin=marcview at the end of the item URL, as in
http://discovery.wrlc.org/?hreciid=|library%2fm%2fGT|b4051009&skin=marcview
(where http://discovery.wrlc.org/?hreciid=|library%2fm%2fGT|b4051009&skin=wrlc is the stable item URL)
