Description (last modified by simon)
I'm almost finished with this, but I seem to have run into a snag. It doesn't look like ReferenceMarks, which we are currently using to hold the bibliography, can contain paragraph breaks. Before, we were using only line breaks, which poses a problem when one tries to format the bibliography with, e.g., a first line indent, since only the first line of the bibliography can be indented. This is not a problem we have with Word fields. As far as I can tell, there exist three options:
- Use a document section for the bibliography/reference list, and continue using ReferenceMarks for the citation fields. This is what I'm leaning toward.
- Use bookmarks for the bibliography/ref list even if ReferenceMarks are selected, but continue using ReferenceMarks for the citation fields.
- Ditch ReferenceMarks altogether and require OOo users to use Bookmarks for everything.
Are there any strong opinions on this? The first is probably the most difficult to implement, but would yield the nicest looking results; the last is the easiest to implement, but the user can't see bookmarks, which makes it easier to screw up document formatting by adding text inside a bookmark that the plug-in will later replace.
