#629 closed enhancement (fixed)

ISI Export Format translator

Reported by: stakats Owned by: ajlyon
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: translators Version: future
Keywords: Cc: ajlyon

Description

We already have the necessary logic in our ISI Web of Knowledge translator, but it needs to go into an import translator to allow users to import already downloaded ISI records. A new version of our ISI Web of Knowledge web translator should then just call the import translator.

No, that's not RIS-- it's a very similar tagged format. Thanks for posting it.

This seems to be fixed in https://github.com/ajlyon/translators/commit/fe2fc86fc31a40cd9895660e56f0941e41d9467a -- at least import works. I may have broken the web portion, but I can't test until ISI is back up and running properly.

I have only one item type defined-- apart from "J", are there other types?

I added some examples of all the document types the search interface lets you select for.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from accepted to closed

This is fixed by https://github.com/zotero/translators/commit/1dfb961d1221b50a7f055746c39a96110944cac4 and subsequent commits. The types and fields in ISI aren't always straightforward, so we may have to adjust some at a later date, but this is a decent start. Closing. Further issues should be raised in the forum for resolution-- the main issue of import has been addressed.
