Dan, I'm attaching b3r1 locales downloaded from Babelzilla tonight. To get the RC1 strings translated, we'll need these b3r1 strings ported over to the RC1 locales. Unlike our build locales, however, these ones should leave untranslated or new strings blank. That way, when I upload the files to Babelzilla, they won't all show as already 100% complete.

Let me know if there are any problems with these.

Looks like we lost Serbian (sr-YU), perhaps because Babelzilla is a bit buggy with that locale (calls it sr-Yu, instead). Could you please merge this one, too?

Note to self to make the merge script remove strings not in the English files.

- Description modified (diff)
Updated locales to RC4 strings for uploading back to BZ. Generated in missing-line-skip mode. Let me know if you need something different.
I fixed various problems in the files (locales.xml cruft, encoding, tweaked punctuation), so these should replace whatever's on BZ.
Note that ro-RO locales.xml in this zip has half English strings, since the version from BZ was cut off.

Attaching Polish locale pl-PL. Please fold into branch and prepare another BZ upload build.

It looks like we still have a lot of English strings in these locales. If it's just a matter of deleting the whole key/value line, it might be best just to delete them manually. I can do this, send them back to you, and you can build the XPI. We'll also want to make sure that #726 is really hammered out before uploading back to BZ.
FYI, forum post is here:

Why delete them manually? I have the previous versions from BZ without the new strings, and my merge script can leave out missing strings automatically.
comment:12 Changed 9 years ago by stakats
I think we still will need to pick through them because some of the BZ locales have the English filled in, no?
comment:13 Changed 9 years ago by dstillman
Hmph, OK, I guess some do, though thankfully not too many. I'll take care of them, since I already have somewhat modified versions here.

OK, I think the attached XPI will work. I missed a few English strings here and there, but it should be fine.

With the fix in #726, do we need to update the BZ XPI before uploading?
comment:16 Changed 9 years ago by dstillman
That fix was already in, but here's a BZ-format RC5 XPI, which includes the merged locales.xml and some other fixes.

Uploaded to BZ. Looks like completion percentages worked this time! Now if only they would fix their "sr-Yu" vs. "sr-YU" typo...

Please note new locales to be added to manifest: cs-CZ and vi-VN. All others should already be there. XML files may be need manual cleaning. Once you have an XPI built, let me know here so that I can test with localized builds of Firefox.

Dan, please let me know when we are feature frozen enough to submit an updated extension to BabelZilla. We'll need about 2 weeks of lead time for least odious results.
