Description

"In General I can’t save records to Zotero from Mirlyn (U of M) with Windows. Zotero works fine with the Library of Congress Website, but in U of M’s Mirlyn when I click the address bar icon, Zotero responds “Could Not Save Item.” I’ve restarted the brower and the machine, it still doesn’t work. Zotero on my Mac works fine with Mirlyn."

"Zotero seems not to recognize the results of a Call Number search in Mirlyn on either Mac or Windows. The folder icon doesn’t appear for the list of works that are in the call number range and when viewing a specific work from that list, the book icon doesn’t appear in the address bar. If I search for the same work with a title, author or word search Zotero recognizes that there is a citation or list of citations on the page and the appropriate icons appear (though in Windows, I can’t save them). A call number search at the Lib. Of Congress website works normally with Zotero."

positions "saving item" window in a slightly better place on Windows

the UMich bug was actually bigger than I though. as it turns out, the HiddenDOMWindow in Windows is not a chrome window, so i had to modify createHiddenBrowser() to attach the hidden browser object to an existing browser window. i don't believe this should have any adverse effects for snapshots, etc., but Dan, correct me if i'm wrong. it would be nice to be able to create a real chrome instance instead of a XUL element, but all of my attempts at doing so have failed.
