Description
Not seeing an existing ticket for this, but from a user perspective, it's entirely arbitrary and limiting that groups don't have smart collections (saved searches). Would be nice to see this addressed.

hi zoterons,
i'm wondering if there's anyway to put this functionality on the docket for sooner rather than later...
i'm heading two groups of collaborative bibliography building (one for new orleans studies and one for german scholars). each bibliography is a subgroup of a larger group library (for good reason, since there's overlap). in organizing these thematic bibs, i'm having them use tags but its emerging that there are these tag clusters for the theme, rather than a simple one-word tag (say, "race.")
so as the groups try to work together to build the bib, it's kind of awkward to have a list of (changing) instructions to tell them how to filter the library so they can have a view of the most up-to-date product. so, a saved search would be GREAT (i'm assuming that a saved search would automatically become available to all members of a group, just like any library folder?).
thanks for considering. any hope for the near(er) future?
