Description
They use Millennium ILS by Innovative Interfaces with WebPac pro, but they're starting to also use Encore on top as well.

This translator might be something we can abstract for other libraries using Innovative Encore. I will add more info on other libraries using this system when it becomes available.

Some, but not all, Innovative Encore installations seem to expose MARC data, for exporting to RefWorks. For example, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the URL http://encore.unl.edu/iii/encore/record/C|Rb3149302?marcData=Y gives easily imported MARC data. Other libraries, like the New York Public Library don't have such secret URLs for MARC data. We could detect the presence of MARC export by looking for RefWorks links explicitly, but it'd be nice to have a universal solution here.
MARC in this way is available for:
Marquette University: http://www.marquette.edu/library/
University of Nebraska-Lincoln: http://encore.unl.edu/
Chinese University of Hong Kong: http://library.cuhk.edu.hk/
Michigan State University: http://discover.lib.msu.edu/ (despite not showing RefWorks links)
Luther College: http://encore.luther.edu/ (also no RefWorks
and possibly more.
I'll start working on a MARC-based translator that tries to construct such a URL and falls back to scraping, however imperfectly -- then perhaps users at other libraries can advocate for the activation of MARC data access.

My work on this is frozen for now -- my attempt at a translator is at http://github.com/ajlyon/zotero-bits/blob/master/Innovative%20Encore.js .
I would welcome to efforts of another interested party who would like to give this a try. I ran into some issues with getting MARC data to be parsed correctly.

I use the MARC export as described by Avram above. I haven't found an Encore catalog without it, (NYPL has switchted catalogs to the much superior bibliocommons).
Here are three more libraries using the innovative encore OPAC. Hopefully they can help us build a translator that works across these and other catalogs.
