#1001 closed enhancement (fixed)

Ability to re-order citations

Reported by: tjowens Owned by: simon
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: word integration Version: 1.5

Description

Many bibliographic styles order multiple citations included at the end of a paragraph by the order in which they appear in the paragraph. The default behavior in Zotero is to alphabetize multiple sources. There should be a check box when inserting citations for users to decide wether or not they want to sort the items in a reference manually or if they want them to be alphabetized.

  • Summary changed from Toggle alphabetization on and off in multiple source citations to Ability to re-order citations

The checkbox already exists. We just don't let users rearrange the order of the list after adding citations. Thus, I'm changing the title of this ticket...

I've put up a patch against 6092 and a bundle of icons that enable moving cites up and down in the multiple citations window. Seems to work, see what you think. Older discussions of this issue are here:

Summary of the current state of play (plus additional information from Simon and small mea culpa from me) is here:

Addressed by r6093 (patches above added, with modifications)

Still need to add back "Keep Citations Sorted" checkbox (which is probably still convenient for the use case I stated in the third link above) and make a few other sorting changes
