A list of the changes made to Zotero source for Bluebook Frank Bennett biercenator@gmail.com 2009.01.06 This is a short run-down on changes I've made to my local copy of Zotero instance while working on a Bluebook style file. ---------- Facilities ---------- The changes in the source code are labelled by number, as follows: 1. Multiple cites to the same source within a single footnote are supported. 2. Alternative volume numbers can be specified in the client 3. Year and edition information for additional volumes registrable through numberOfVolumes 4. Extended position evaluation. Ibid recognizes cites to the same source within a footnote. Ibid is now possible for the initial cite in a multiple citation (this behaviour differs from previous). The position identifiers ibid, ibid-with-locator, and subsequent are supplemented with ibid-prefixed, ibid-with-locator-prefixed, and subsequent-with-locator-prefixed, to permit proper handling of capitalization and lower-casing of ibid and the like. 5. Configurable ordinals. The style itself can specify the string values to be used for ordinals. 6. Container author field. This field is in the CSL spec, but was missing from Zotero's database schema. Also recognizes contributor as a field for testing. 7. Prefix handling. The default delimiter between cites will be dropped completely before a cite with a prefix value. Punctuation should be included in the prefix field. 8. Issue date as field. The issued date value is additionally specified as an ordinary field, to permit testing for presence of a variable and for is-numeric. 9. The following fields are enabled as numeric fields: note, title, container-title, issued, page, locator, collection-number. 10. Dictionary entry type. Recognition of the Dictionary entry type is enabled. 11. Use journalAbbreviation as a fallback for publication titles. 12. Add place of publication to newspaper type.
