Thomas Heric completed four years of training with the Brain Research Institute at UCLA. Here he received his Ph.D. in neurophysiology. His research on how the brain receives and interprets information continued on throughout his career as a neurologist. He established the Neurodiagnostic Laboratory at St. John’s Hospital and Health Center in Santa Monica, Ca. in 1975.  The lab operated for 21 years where he supervised eight other neurologists, two physiatrists and six technicians.
