Wired Humanities Projects
I direct the Wired Humanities Projects, a digital humanities research center founded in 1997 with inspiration from the likes of Willard McCarty, the Brown Women Writers Project, and John Unsworth. I am a historian with a doctorate in early Mexican history. I work with the Nahuatl language to try to recover the indigenous vision and version of their experience with Spanish colonialism. I am interested in not only alphabetic texts, but also pictorials and maps.
