o Presented “Studio-Based Research as Master’s Thesis in Art Education” (with colleagues Dr. Dan Serig and Prof. Jennifer Hall at the 2010 National Art Education Association Conference Art and Social Justice
o Worked with the Graduate Dean and the Assistant Graduate Dean in the creation of the Graduate View Book, and with marketing of the graduate programs in education inside and outside of the College
o Worked with faculty in Liberal Arts and Art History to create experimental course Race and Representation for Spring 2009
§ This course was taught as an overload in the Spring 2009 semester
o Redesigned and implemented Master of Science in Art Education summer coursework, thesis presentation and exhibition program
o Co-curated an exhibition that presented the work of 3 generations of artists and their teachers
o Managed the process of reviewing the college wide grading system for the 2006-2007 Academic Policies Committee. Committee chair and author of the final report
o Created and presented 4 Lectures on Visual Language for the delivery of major course content to the entire first-year class of 2007
o Worked with independent studies in studio with senior and junior studio art education majors and MFA candidates across disciplines
o Created and taught experimental course Boston Sketchbook, part of which involved coordinating class meetings with Boston area doctors, architects, park rangers and museum directors

o Race, Gender and the Digital Image
· Responsibilities include:
o Developing course materials, lectures and presentations that introduce and expand ideas about gender, race and their effects in the areas of popular and art culture
o Work with faculty in visual art, art history, and cultural studies to develop and implement programming in exhibition and in lectures on topics of race and gender for the Stonehill community and the general public

o Managing the daily interaction, accommodation, studio needs, and programming for participants and staff of one of the country’s oldest artist residency programs
o Provided critiques on a group and individual basis.
o Liaison for resident and visiting faculty, staff, and participants. Fostering communication among all of the residents and staff
o Providing support for resident and visiting faculty and staff with studio materials, lectures, and meetings and transportation
o Assisting the Program Director with studio assignments and management, shop orientations, master classes, events, and Trustees and Governors of the school
o Assisting the Program Associate with staffing, event planning, maintenance, permitting, and library coordination
o Facilitated resources on and off campus for performances, actions, art events and exhibitions for participants
o Supported and aided the development of organic discussion groups around topics in art and philosophy across disciplines

o Taught an informal but highly structured master print seminar with Eun Sook Lee, and her upper level students
o Produced Rapture – a suite of lithographic prints assisted by Professor Lee and her students
o Mounted an exhibition of the works produced while in residence

Co-Director of Multicultural Student Development
· Responsibilities included:
o Maintained and encouraged discussion and affirmation of diversity issues on a campus of 2,500+ students.
o Reported to the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Officer of Civil Rights, Diversity and Compliance.
o Created and managed mentoring program for students matriculating from Boston Public Schools.
o Investigated and reported on diversity programs at other colleges. Networked with other diversity coordinators for discussion and information sharing.
o Reviewed college curricula and policies with the Compliance officer for diversity issues. Integral member of the Student Development Department; met and advised the Dean of Students on diversity issues.
o Presented findings monthly in joint meetings with faculty from Studio Foundation, administrators from Student Development and Coordinator of Service Learning.
· Key Successes:
o Created original service materials in video and other media.
o Proposed and implemented changes to the curriculum for the Studio Foundation program of the school to include travel to Cuba, China and Egypt, student exchange, community-service learning opportunities.
o Organized events around censorship utilizing “Banned Books Week” and available resources in the College's library system.
o Created a film series that investigated representations of race, class and gender.
o Liaised with the Colleges of the Fenway around diversity issues, specifically Black History Month, Women’s History Month and Gay and Lesbian Pride Month.
o Represented College at Educating Artists for a Multicultural World, a forum and panel discussion sponsored by the ProArts Consortium and the Colleges of the Fenway.
