I started teaching in 1998, interspersed with breaks for pursuing intensive research in Film Adaptation for which I studied a series of Indian Films and Television serials and short stories, novella and other forms of Fiction. I completed MPhil on 2000 and a PhD in 2005. I have been teaching courses in Critical Theory, Films and literature in my present institution since 2005. My main emphasis has been on the pedagogical experiments and innovation, weaving together  cultural artifacts: photography, painting, music etc. in my class room teaching as well as in supervising research. Besides teaching I have assisted in making of films and also anchored and produced programs for All India Radio
