This page describes the General tab of Zotero Connector preferences.

Indicates whether Zotero Connector is able to access Zotero running on your machine.

Manage Connector credential authorization with zotero.org. When authorized, if Zotero is not running, items will be saved to your zotero.org online library.

This feature is not available in Safari.

Zotero Connector will try to automatically intercept and import various exported bibliography files, such as BibTex, RIS, Refer and others. To disable the feature uncheck the preference checkbox. You can disable automatic file importing for individual hostnames by clicking the “Remove” button.
