I haven't done much with my life, but then again, who has?

Even Obama doesn't look like he's done much, and he's the President of the United States!

Well, Mr. Jerry Brown DID do something. He made huge cuts in many social programs across the state of California. Now the University of California is close to being privatized. And unfortunately, my whole family has been tied with California universities, either as employees and/or students.

Well, if we take a step back, the totality of Californians, coupled with the "sage guidance" of the previous Governor--errr, Governator--had set up Jerry Brown to engage in this budget slashing rampage. So, the question is whether Jerry Brown himself was solely responsible for such budget cuts? Or maybe, since there are too many politicians participating in the collective decision-making process all together, such that now this whole country's government is suffering from constipation of divisiveness and indecisiveness... now Jerry Brown is just a dude we elected so that we have someone to blame and point fingers at and make political cartoons about whenever anything is wrong with the California State Government, which is just about everything. Ditto with Obama.

When each and every human is so reliant on so many other humans' knowledge and skills and labor to support each human's bubbled existence, how can any human in particular actually have said they have "done much" with his or her life? Like gloating about some massively impressive CV or something? Either you're flipping burgers at Mickie D's (metaphorically or literally) or you're bossing around people who flip burgers. And managers and bureaucrats are pimped up by the media to be sooo knowledgeable and powerful in this strange society, when we all know in the end, somehow or another, "the shxt floats to the top."

Say, what kind of other careers are out there, may I ask? I'll stick with being a hunter and gatherer and trying-to-be-storyteller, metaphorically and physically speaking. And heck, maybe I'll become a politician, ha ha. Because if George Bush Jr. can do it, then so can I... and if Sarah Palin can certainly do it, then I know for sure I'm overqualified.
