I am the Coordinator of Digital Initiatives at the Southern Oral History Program (SOHP) in the Center for the Study of the American South at Carolina. I work to integrate oral history interviews and digital technology as well as with the Publishing the Long Civil Rights Movement Project.
I am also an historian of the American South interested in the history of the death penalty. My dissertation focused on this history in 20th-Century North Carolina.
