Hi!  My name is Stacy Meyers and I am a graduate student in the Public History concentration program at the University of New Orleans.  My research interests include colonial and federal American intellectual, social, and political history.  My thesis topic will examine the role the Louisiana Purchase played in the peace negotiations during the 1801 American Barbary War.  When I am not working on my studies, I work for the National Park Service as a Park Guide where I give tours, develope educational programs, and design interpretive displays.
