In October 2006 I completed my Master of Science in Digital Media at the International School of New Media, associated institute of the University of Luebeck, Northern Germany. My research project was focused on the analysis of scientific knowledge management and some new alternatives through collaborative platforms. Among the topics researched I might highlight the history of modern science, its political and philosophical background, scientific publishing and changes promoted by the new media advent.

My current research is a continuation of what I have done for the Master thesis. Its privisional title is: "Possible improvements in communication among scientists and experts in forestry via collaborative platforms". The on going work focuses on communities of scientists, professors and students of environmental sciences, specifically academic groups on forest sciences, using digital media for expert communication.
