Sebastian Buckup
I am currently a Global Leadership Fellow at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. Before joining the Forum, I was a Technical Officer at the International Labour Organization, engaged in research on the human capital implications of trade and foreign direct investment. Prior to that, I worked on public-private financing mechanisms for development at the UNDP Office of Development Studies in New York. Based on this work, I currently write my doctoral thesis on PPP governance. An inspiration for my work is the Global Partnership Governance initiative which I founded in 2008 at the Witten/Herdecke University. I hold a Master’s Degree in Economics and Management from Witten/Herdecke University, as well as one in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
