My research is in the areas of phonetics, auditory processing of speech, speech perception, speech synthesis, speech acoustics and the evaluation of speech technology. I am a member of the Centre for Language Sciences and of the nationally funded HEARing Cooperative Research Centre (CRC).

I convene (with Felicity Cox) the Bachelor of Speech and Hearing Sciences. I also convene (or co-convene with other colleagues) several subjects in the fields of phonetics and phonology, speech acoustics, speech physiology, speech technology, auditory physiology and psychoacoustics.
