Raffaele Mauriello

Raffaele Mauriello is a scholar of the modern Middle East and a translator of both Arabic and Persian. He achieved a first class honours degree (laurea 110/110 cum laude) in Oriental Languages and Civilizations in 2002 and was awarded a PhD in Islamic Civilization: History and Philology in 2009 from the Sapienza, University of Rome. In 2013, he was awarded The World Prize for the Book of the Year of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of Islamic studies.
