I am currently a doctoral student (Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies) at Asbury Theological Seminary. I am also an adjunct instructor of religion and philosophy at Midway College, Midway, KY.

I am married for 30 years to Paula Ruth Troutman (née Stroud), and we have two grown sons, Nathanie (25) and Christopher (23).

I am an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene, and have been in ministry for 25 years. We spent 15 years in Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) Africa as missionaries, 11 (1993-2004) in Beira, Mozambique.
